Moga, Sept 28: Inspector Sunita Bawa SHO of Kot Ise Khan near Moga has full swag after being arrested red handed along with Punjab Home Guard (PHG) Guravtar Singh while accepting a bribe of ₹50,000.
According to the case, police had recently arrested a resident of Khosa Randhir with narcotics, and the SHO allegedly threatened Rajwinder Singh of Nurpur Hakimian village with being implicated in a drug case, and began demanding money. It said she had already taken ₹50,000 and was demanding another ₹50,000.
Acting on Rajwinder Singh's complaint, a Vigilance team laid a trap and caught both accused on Zira Road while they were accepting the money, in the presence of official witnesses.
A video from the time of her arrest has since gone viral, in which she is seen smiling and telling reporters that "all is well" and that "ups and downs keep happening."
