High Court jolts Jammu Development Authority Bosses? Stays illegal orders passed by Collector & Estate Officer

Jammu, July 2: In WP(C) No. 1912/2026 CM No. 4193/2026 Cav No. 1828/2026 titled Asha Gupta Vs UT of J&K and others  after hearing & understanding the malafidies & bad intentions of Collector & Estates Officer of JDA after hearing HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE WASIM SADIQ NARGAL, JUDGE ORDERED as under:-

Caveat No.1828/2026:  With the appearance of Mr. Adarsh Sharma, Sr. Advocate along with Mr. Atul Verma, Advocate, who is on caveat, the caveat stands discharged.

WP(C) No.1912/2026 & CM No.4193/2026:  1. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner at length and also Mr. Adarsh Sharma, Sr. Advocate along with Mr. Atul Verma, Advocate appearing for the caveators-JDA.

2. Issue notice, which is waived by Mr. Atul Verma, Advocate for the respondents-JDA. He seeks and is granted three weeks’ time to file response.

3. In the meantime, subject to objections from other side and till next date of hearing before the Bench, impugned order dated 19.06.2026 and show cause notice dated 24.06.2026 passed by the concerned respondents shall remain stayed.

4. At this stage, Mr. Atul Verma, Advocate submits that an identical matter arising out of the same issue is pending before this Court in OWP No.510/2013.

He prays that the instant petition be clubbed with the said petition so that both the petitions be heard and decided collectively with a view to avoid conflicting orders.

5. Registry is directed to list this matter along with OWP No.510/2013 on 10.08.2026.
