JAMMU, Mar 11: Lashkar-e-Toiaba Chief Mehmood Shah has asked Director General Police SP Vaid to ensure that there was no harassment of militants’ families henceforth , after DGP SP Vaid warned MIlitants not to target families of Cops, couple of days ago.
Shah, in a statement issued said “Till date the militants have never targeted the families of the forces. But after every defeat faced by the forces on the ground, the families of militants are being harassed. This should stop. If they think that we can’t get them being outsiders then it’s wrong thinking on their part. It is not a big deal for us to get to families of each police official, but we respect their families. The DGP should work for improvement of behaviour of police and other forces.”
DGP Vaid had warned militants and said that Militants should not drag families of cops into the conflict and instead Security forces on ground.
DGP Vaid has been proactive on various matters and has taken up the Role of Top parent in Police family and is being well acclaimed for that by Police and public also.
DGP Vaid made a strong statement to Militants after militants ransacked the house of a Cop in Kashmir.
