JAMMU, Oct 06: Patients suffering from the dangerous Dengue disease have risen to 33 in the Jammu region. Five persons were tested positive for dengue yesterday which included three from Jammu, one from Udhampur and one from Kathua and all five in the age group of 1-14 years.
As per Director Health Services, blood samples of 274 people having dengue-like symptoms were tested for the virus out of which 33 were found positive and no serious case has so far been reported and majority of the patients suffering from the disease were discharged from various hospitals after successful treatment.
Health Minister Ch Lal Singh told Cross Town News telephonically that Health department is fully equipped to treat patients Dengue patients and to deal with the situation.
