JAMMU: Police solved out the theft case of Mannapuram Gold Loan Company with the arrest of two persons including Assistant Branch Head Sunil Kumar of the company along with stolen gold ornaments worth over Rs 15.174 crore.
This was told by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Dr SDS Jamwal while interacting with media persons on Friday.

IGP said that on February 20, Head of Mannapuram Gold Loan Company namely Pankaj Chib, son of Suram Singh, a resident of Roop Nagar Enclave lodged a complaint with police post Bhatindi stating th at some unidentified persons barged into the company's branch at Malik Market and decamped with gold ornaments worth crores and cash.

Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant Sections was registered at Trikuta Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police recovered the stolen 10.230 kilograms gold worth Rs 15,174,455 on the disclosure of the arrested accused, IGP said, adding that hunt is going on to arrest their associate, who is still at large.
Police team led by SHO Trikuta Nagar Inspector Bharat Bhushan and assisted by Incharge Bhatindi police post SI Arun Bhagat solved the theft case and made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Arun Jamwal, SP South Sandeep Choudhary and Incharge SSP Jammu Dr Vinod Kumar.
