Jammu, Feb 07: Throughout India RTI Act was established to get the information required from the departments within stipulated period of time but not bothered by lot of officers. It is very serious matter for Government to check on on defaulters causing non implementation of the Act.
As per details with Cross Town News, an application under RTI was submitted in SSRB office Jammu with requisite fee vide postal order no. 08-F-867214 & due receipt No. 8593 dated 01.12.2016. The PIO was to provide the information in 30 days from the date of receipt of the application.
The receipt of application speaks that 30 days exhausts on 01.01,2017 but the big boss PIO of SSRB did not bothered to provide information till 01.02.2017. Applicant was constrained to file Ist Appeal to SSRB duly receipt vide No 793 dated 01.02.2017.
Till Government will not start acting tough on such violators of RTI, no fruitful result of RTI will come out.
