REASI, Jan 31: District Development Commissioner Ravinder Kumar today convened a meeting to discuss arrangements for ensuing Maha Shivratri Mela at Shri Shiv Khori Shrine.
The meeting was attended by ADC Babu Ram, SSP Tahir Bhat, ACR Abdul Satar, Executive Officer SSKSB, Chief Medical Officer, AD Tourism, Tehsildars, BDOs, XENs of PWD, PDD and PHE, AD Employment, DFOs, ARTO, Block Medical Officers and other officers.
DDC asked SSP to deploy requisite number of security personnel at various points including base camp and Ram Mandir to ensure foolproof security. ARTO Reasi was directed to arrange sufficient number of vehicles for free transportation besides traffic police was directed to regulate smooth traffic flow on various routes .
DDC instructed the CMO to ensure proper medical facilities and keep available one mobile ambulance to handle any exigency. Executive Officer was designated as the Mela Officer to ensure coordination among various departments.
DDC directed the concerned for providing fire tenders, accommodation to the working staff, display of flex boards, supply of blankets, public address system, LPG and other essential commodities.
The DDC also asked to constitute special teams to keep a check on quality and rates of eatables. He directed to ensure ban on use of non-disposal material in the Mela.
Many other decisions like organization of Dangal, cultural programmes, Shoba Yatra, display of stalls of various activities including awareness regarding flagship schemes,
Among prominent citizens Shiv Kumar Sharma President India Style Wrestling Association and Shashi Gupta President Shiv Khori Mandli were also present in the meeting.
