Jammu, March 5: The recent massive fire incident at Jammu and Kashmir’s Bone and Joints Hospital has brought in questions on  implementing the Fire Safety Act and making its clauses implementable in government buildings and hospitals.

Non-implementation of Fire Force Act (1967) to ensure that safety equipment are installed in buildings has also been blamed for the frequent fire accidents.

It can also be observed in the Private hospital in Jammu city that permissions have been granted to lot but most have no parking, which made public to park their vehicles on the roads causing harassment to others by facing taffic jams & which are the live proofs but District Administration look the episode as a mute spectator, which is no doubt a big question on the permission according agency.

Experts said that details should be sought on Private hospitals & Nursing homes in J&K & appoint a high power committee of officers from outside the JKUT to detect a nexus between J&K officer, who soever accorded permissions for construction without parking & committee, who renew their licence after personal visits to see the all required terms & conditions?
