Jammu, Aug 12: The much hyped Disproportionate Asset (DA) case registered against Mr Rohit Sharma, the then Tehsildar Bahu, Distt Jammu by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Jammu has ultimately ended in a CLOSURE.
On 23 rd May, 2025, the CBI, Jammu registered FIR No. RC0042025A0007 under Sec 13(2) r/w 13 (1) (b) regarding possession of Assets disproportionate to known sources of income against Rohit Sharma.
After a detailed thorough investigation spanning for more than one year w.r.t assets possessed by Mr Rohit Sharma and his family members, the CBI, Jammu on 24 th June 2026, filed a CLOSURE REPORT before the Hon’ble Special Judge Anti corruption (CBI Cases), Jammu.
On 12.08.2026, the Hon’ble Judge, after detailed scrutiny of Final report filed by CBI vis a vis Moveable and immoveable assets/ Income and Expenditure statements and after a detailed in depth perusal of the accompanying documents including statement of witnesses, finally accepted the CLOSURE REPORT submitted by the CBI as a result of which the DA case registered against Rohit Sharma stands CLOSED.
