UDHAMPUR, July 28:The District Administration Udhampur has called upon people to make use of Jal Sanchayan” - A user-friendly mobile app for rainwater harvesting launched by Central Ground Water Board.
The mobile app “Jal Sanchayan” has been developed by the Central Ground Water Board to facilitate common man to adopt rainwater harvesting through various techniques.
The mobile app “Jal Sanchayan” which is a user –friendly android Mobile application available in both Hindi and English version comprises all components of rainwater harvesting in single platform. It allows user to know from location conditions and interactive module enable user to calculate potential rainwater to be harvested in user’s location. In addition, it also provides schematic designs, benefits and operation and maintenance aspects. The app also provides contact information of authorities, agencies, technical institutions and grass root community organizations working in the water sector.
The District administration Udhampur called upon the people of the district to come forward and avail the benefits of mobile app “Jal Sanchayan” which will help them to calculate location based ground water level, annual rainfall and aquifer information. The mobile app can be downloaded in any android Mobile phone from Google Play Store.
