RAJOURI, DECEMBER 02: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad today inaugurated a skill development centre established to boost employment opportunities among the persons with disabilities of the district through skill development and to inculcate in them the feeling of self reliance and also to harbour their talent.

While speaking on the occasion, DC said that the main aim of setting up of the skill development centre is to give persons with disabilities the right kind of atmosphere in which they can develop their talent so that they become able to get employment on their own. He added that the opening of this centre would bring a ray of hope for persons with disabilities who are looked upon as burden even by their family members. He further said that the need of the hour is to change the mindset of the society so that they are able to hone their inner skills and contribute their share in the development activities.

The DC added that the Institute shall be of good repute and shall be managed by Training provider of Skill Council for Persons with Disability (SCPwD) and will serve at its best in imparting skill Training under various trades like Domestic Data Entry Operator, LED Light Repair Technician and Mobile Phone Hardware Repair Technician to the specially abled youth of the District shortly. The certificates will be issued to those candidates who will qualify the final test and during the course, the trainees will be provided with a stipend of Rs 4600 per month.
