Zulfkar for monitoring food grains movement in Jammu & Kashmir

 

SRINAGAR, Aug 12:Minister for CA&PD Ch Zulfkar Ali asked the   CA&PD authorities to evolve a foolproof monitoring mechanism to track the movement of food grains from FCI godowns to sale outlets to keep check on pilferages. He sought the details of food grains in flow and disbursement from each sale outlet on daily basis. He also instructed the concerned    to start the process from today.

 

Zulfkar gave these directions while chairing a high level meeting to chalk out modalities for finalization of transportation plan for early lifting and distribution of food grains to the consumers.  In order to avoid any misappropriation of food grains at sale depots, the Minister directed the Deputy Commissioners to constitute village level committees to monitor proper distribution of ration. The committee would   consist of representatives from panchyats besides prominent citizen of villages.

 

  Regarding formulation of   transparent transfer policy in the Department, Zulfkar directed Secretary CA&PD to devise and submit the proposal in this regard. He called for devising a fair mechanism which brings justice to all employees. He further asked to formulate guidelines for opening of new Fair Price Shops (FPS)  within shortest possible time.Secretary CA&PD, Mr. Saurabh Bhagat, Director CA&PD Kashmir and Jammu beside other senior officers of the department attended the meeting.
