Jammu, Jan 27: Everyone was having doubts on yesterday, the 26th Jan, the Republic Day of India as a dry day but in real which was not as per the notification of Excice Dept, J&K.
So, it is for the general pulic to note down the different dates fixed as dry das for Jammu & Srinagar, so they may not be confused in near fututre regarding the issue, which clearly speaks in Rule 10:
Dry days in Jammu Division:- Shiv Ratri, Mahatama Gandhi's Birthdat, Janam Ashtami, 15th August, Guru Nanak's Birthday & Ram Navmi.
In Kashmir Division:- Shiv Ratri, Mahatama Gandhi's Birthdat, Janam Ashtami, 15th August, Id-Ul-Fitre,Id-Ul-Zuha & Id-i-Milad & on such days not exceeding three days during a yearas may be declared by the Govt. in this behalf.
