NEW DELHI, Oct 22: Central Government approved extension in temporary upgradation of Posts as Additional Secretaries of 6 Officers including Additional Secretary UT in MHA Nitesh Kumar Vyas and AGMUt cadre IAS Officer Varsha Joshi.
The Order copy with Cross Town News reads " The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following:
(i) Extension in temporary upgradation of the post of Chairman, StaffSelection Commission from the level of Additional Secretary to that ofSecretary, presently held by Shri S Gopalakrishnan, lAS (TN:91), for aterm up to 31.10.2027;
(ii) Extension in temporary upgradation of the post of Director General,National Productivity Council, Department for Promotion of Industry andInternal Trade from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary,presently held by Ms. Neerja Sekhar, lAS (HY:93), CTN for a term up to31.12.2027;
(iii) Temporary upgradation and operation of a vacant post of JointSecretary within the overall sanctioned strength under the Central StaffingScheme to the level of Additional Secretary in Department of AnimalHusbandry & Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry andDairying, presently held by Ms. Varsha Joshi, lAS (AGMUT:95), for theperiod from 05.12.2026 up to 26.07.2027;
(iv) Extension in temporary upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to thelevel of Additional Secretary in Ministry of Home Affairs, presently held byShri Nitesh Kumar Vyas, lAS (MP:96), for a term up to 07.11.2027;
(v) Extension in temporary upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to thelevel of Additional Secretary in President's Secretariat, presently held byMs. Anecta C. Meshram, lAS (UP:96), for a term up to 13.06.2027; and
(vi) Extension in temporary upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to thelevel of Additional Secretary in Cabinet Secretariat, presently held by ShriRahul Sharma, lAS (JH:98), for a term up to 26.10.2027.
