New Delhi, Sep 28: The Special Cell of Delhi Police in coordination with central agencies apprehended two MHA officials for seeking illegal gratification to facilitate FCRA registration.
The Ministry of Home Affairs said that the two officials, one working as a Senior Accountant and the other as an Accountant, had allegedly approached an association and sought illegal gratification in return for facilitating its pending FCRA registration.
The Ministry said that preliminary questioning indicates that they were in contact with certain associations for facilitating their registration and renewal in lieu of illegal gratification.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has reiterated its zero tolerance towards corruption, and appropriate legal as well as departmental action is being taken in the matter.
All FCRA-related services are delivered online through the FCRA portal, and no intermediary, agent or individual is authorised to facilitate any FCRA service.
