JAMMU, Sep 22: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the ongoing session of the Legislative Assembly, highlighted key initiatives to promote and diversify tourism across Jammu Division.
• Actively developing new and existing destinations with upgraded infrastructure to establish Jammu as a year-round tourist hub.
• Planned major developmental interventions at major tourist destinations including Suchetgarh, Shiv Khori, Bhaderwah, Basohli, and Mansar to enhance visitor experience.
• Prioritizing the ongoing development work of 5 specific pilgrimage circuits covering Mansar, Shiv Khori, Uttarvehni, and Purmandal.
• Driving sustained promotion at local, national, and international levels through expos, festivals, travel marts, and digital publicity campaigns.
These measures aim to boost regional visibility while generating local employment through homestays, tour guiding, and allied tourism services , said Chief Minister's Office.
