Srinagar, Sept 12: The division bench of Justice Sanjeev Kumar and Justice Mohammad Yousuf Wani has granted two weeks to the authorities to inform it as to what steps have been taken for procuring the life saving drugs viz ”Factor VIII and Emicizumab” in the Government Hospital of Jammu and Srinagar.
In terms of the previous order, the Managing Director, Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (JKMPCL), was asked to appear in person to explain the failure of the Corporation to procure the Factor VIII and Emicizumab required for patients suffering from Hemophilia.
However, Court directed that the Managing Director of the Corporation, as well as the Principals of both the Government Medical Colleges, Jammu and Srinagar, shall appear through virtual mode on the next date.
