 Hariram & his wife send to 14 days of judicial custody, while son send to 02 days of police custody in Building Collapse Case

New Delhi, Sep 07: After arresting he building owners Hariram Gupta, 81, his wife, Urmila Gupta, 75, and their son, Mahesh Gupta, 52, Police produced them before a judge today.  following which, Hariram and Urmila Gupta were sent to 14 days of judicial custody, while their son Mahesh Gupta was sent to two days of police custody.

During the investigation, it was found that the property is registered in the name of Urmila Gupta. It was being managed and operated by her husband, Hariram Gupta, and their son, Mahesh Gupta.

Hariram Gupta, a retired Sergeant from the Indian Air Force, has electricity connections for two floors in his name.

In addition, searches are being conducted for the PG operators and the labour contractor. Their roles will also be examined, and appropriate action will be taken accordingly.

The rescue operation has been completed by the agencies. A total of 12 people were rescued, of whom seven had died.
