IPS Officer hailing from J&K gets charge of DIG  Law & Order in Puducherry

JAMMU, Sep 03: IPS Officer Rajinder Kumar Gupta hailing from Jammu and Kashmir gets charge of DIG Law and Order in Puducherry.

As per details with Cross Town News, Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police (Training & Welfare), Puducherry, holding additional charge of Senior Superintendent of Police (HQ), Puducherry, shall also hold the additional charge ofthe post of Deputy Inspector General of Police (Law & Order) and AP&T, Puducherry, with effect from 31.08.2026 to 25.09.2026, or until the return and joining of Shri R. Sathiyasundaram, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Law & Order), Puducherry, on completion of the 19th Mid-Career Training Programme Phase IV at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad.

During the period of such additional charge, Shri Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, shall discharge the duties and functions of Deputy Inspector General of Police (Law & Order) and AP&T, Puducherry, in addition to his own duties.

Rajinder Gupta has held signficant postings in J&K including Regional passport Officer Jammu.
