Jammu, August 01: No doubts, Minister, Secretary & Director, RDD are exhausting their best to streamline the system but still there are blacksheeps, who are still running on old tracks by causing delay in public works, which are needed to be acted upon?
However, one proved episode of harassment has come in lime lights after the concerned approached Cross Town News over his harassment by Block Development Officers Office Cheneni, & some fishy has been smelt in the episode, as one work of Rs 76,816 was allotted to contractor vide Executive Engineer, Udhampurs order No. 40-41 dtd 26.02.2026 & after completion work bill was framed by concerned Engineer & stands submitted to Block Development Officer, Cheneni., but till then Officers are sitting over the bill by withholding payments of contractor, no doubts a questions on working of BDO's Office Cheneni as a whole?
Thereafter, the issue was discussed with BDO & now with BDO with additional Charge regarding release of payments but none bothered & thereafter the issue was informed to Assistant Commissioner, Udhampur on 25th July, 2026 for harassment to contractor for his due payments but seems ACD as usual prefer to sleep over the issue of public harassment, needs action to relieve innocents from the cruel clutches of such like officers?
Now, it is the need of the day to crackdown on BDO. Office Cheneni to verify the status of all payments w.r.t. withholding of work bills, which will prove the facts.
