Srinagar, July 8: A meeting of the Privileges Committee of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held today in the Assembly Meeting Hall, Srinagar, under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Justice Hasnain Masoodi, Chairman of the Committee.
During the meeting, the Committee took up two Breach of Privilege notices for detailed consideration.
The first notice was moved by Member Mr. Ali Mohammad Dar against the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Chadoora, Budgam.
The second notice was moved by Member Mian Mehar Ali against Mr. Abdul Majeed Rather, the then Assistant Commissioner Development, Ganderbal, who is presently posted as Deputy Secretary, J&K BOPEE.
The Committee held detailed deliberations on both
matters and examined the facts placed before it.
After thorough consideration, necessary directions were issued in accordance with established procedures.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on upholding the dignity, authority, and privileges of the Legislative Assembly.
