The Calcutta High Court has set up a Special Investigation Team (#SIT) to probe the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape-murder case.
The three-member SIT will be led by the Central Bureau of Investigation’s Joint Director for the Eastern Zone.
The court has asked the team to file its report by June 25.
A division bench of Justices Shampa Sarkar and Tirthankar Ghosh directed the CBI to retrace events from the victim’s dinner on 9 August 2024 through to her cremation.
