Jammu, May 09, 2026. A comprehensive Crime Review Meeting was conducted today at the District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu under the chairmanship of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu.
The meeting was attended by all Zonal Superintendents of Police (SPs), Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), Station House Officers (SHOs), and Chowki Incharges Police Posts (PPs) of district Jammu.
During the meeting, a detailed review of the overall law and order situation, crime trends, investigation progress, and pending cases was undertaken.
The SSP Sir emphasized the importance of timely investigation, effective supervision, and prompt disposal of cases to ensure speedy justice to the public.
Officers were directed to maintain strict vigil on criminal activities, strengthen intelligence gathering mechanisms, and intensify action against anti-social and criminal elements.
Special focus was laid on measures to curb drug trafficking, organized crime, property offences and other emerging challenges. The chair also reviewed the performance of police stations and stressed improved coordination among different units for efficient policing.
The SSP Jammu reiterated that professionalism, transparency, and accountability must remain the core principles of policing.
All officers of district Jammu were instructed to ensure visible policing, public outreach, and effective implementation of preventive measures in their respective jurisdictions.
The meeting concluded with directions to enhance operational preparedness and strengthen community engagement to maintain peace and public order in Jammu.
