JAMMU, May 09: Orders for induction of JKAS Officers into IAS likely to be issued by end of this month , sources told Cross Town News.
Experts speaking to Cross Town News said that this will be termed as big achievement for Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Commissioner/Secretary M Raju , as induction into IAS for JKAS Officers will be happening after long time!
Sources said that UPSC meetings are done , details stand forwarded to Ministry of Home Affairs and Official orders are expected by end of May month.
Sources further told Cross Town News that 23 JKAS Officers stand cleared for induction into IAS , though complete clarity will be there , only when official Order is issued.
The Officers will be allotted AGMUT cadre and can be posted any where in 11 AGMUT States/UTs namely Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh , Delhi, Mizoram , Arunachal Pradesh , Puducherry , Chandigarh , Lakshadweep , Dam & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli , Goa and Andaman and Nicobar Island.
Postings in all 11 State/UTs are significant in career progression of Officers ,whereas IAS Officers from erstwhile J&K cadre/JKAS Officers inducted into IAS have been posted in 9 segments of AGMUT cadre , whereas no one has been posted yet in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
Sources said that one or two Officers may get opportunity to work in Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep this time.
