Jammu, May 08: Vide Government Order No. 161/ PW(R&B) of 2026 Dated:- 08-05-2026, J&K Govt ordered for enquiry agains Officers/ Officials for causing delay in Snow Clearance and Unauthorized Absence from Duty.
The order copy with Cross Town News reads "In terms of Rule 33 of the Jammu & Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956, sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Mr. Mohd Yaseen Lone, Joint Director (Plg), Public Works (R&B) Department as Inquiry Officer to conduct an in-depth Inquiry into the delay caused by some officers/officials of the Public Works (R&B) Department in snow clearance leading to disruption of road connectivity and essential services and had also been found absent from duties, without any sanctioned leave, thereby attracting action in terms of the provisions of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.
The Inquiry Officer shall be assisted by Mr. Mohib Ali Bukhari, JKAS, Under Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department.
The Inquiry Officer shall submit his report, along with recommendations, within 21 days.
Any change in the posting of the Inquiry Officer shall not debar them from completing the enquiry.
