New Delhi, March 29: ๐Ž๐ง๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐›๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐‡๐ข๐ง๐๐ฎ, ๐’๐ข๐ค๐ก, ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ก๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐š๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐ฌ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐ญ๐จ ๐œ๐ฅ๐š๐ข๐ฆ ๐’๐œ๐ก๐ž๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ž๐ ๐‚๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฌ, said the Supreme Court.

SC clarified that conversion to any other religion results in the immediate and complete loss of Scheduled Caste status.

Upholding an order of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, the Supreme Court held that once a person converts to Christianity and actively professes and practices that faith, they can no longer be regarded as a member of a Scheduled Caste.
