New Delhi, March 29: ๐๐ง๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ฎ, ๐๐ข๐ค๐ก, ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ก๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ฆ ๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฌ, said the Supreme Court.
SC clarified that conversion to any other religion results in the immediate and complete loss of Scheduled Caste status.
Upholding an order of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, the Supreme Court held that once a person converts to Christianity and actively professes and practices that faith, they can no longer be regarded as a member of a Scheduled Caste.
