A Sub-Inspector lost his life after falling unconscious while on duty at Battalion Headquarters Kehribal in Mattan area of Anantnag district on Sunday.
It said the officer suddenly fell unconscious in his room and was immediately evacuated to PHC Mattan, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The body has been shifted to SDH Seer Hamdhan for completion of medico-legal formalities.
