Udta J&K: 2 Arrested With Heroin Worth Rs 20 Cr In Jammu

JAMMU:Two persons were arrested on friday  for allegedly smuggling 15 kg of heroin, bearing Pakistani markings” on the outskirts of Jammu.

“On a specific input, the police arrested the duo and seized 15 kg of high-grade heroin worth Rs 20 crore in the international market from them on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway at Nagrota here”, IGP (Jammu Zone) S D Singh Jamwal told media persons..

He said the recovery was made from a car at the Ban toll plaza when it was on its way from Kashmir to Amritsar via Jammu.

The arrested persons have been identified as Nisar Ahmed Bhat and Peer Abdul Mohmin of Baramulla and Kupwara districts.
