Rajouri, December 10: Senior BJP leader and former MLC Vibodh Gupta today visited the Eklavya Model Residential School in Gurdan Rajouri and interacted with the children residing there, reaffirming BJP’s commitment to tribal welfare and the party’s roadmap for a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
During the programme, Vibodh lauded the Prime Minister’s Narendra Modi Ji’s development vision including initiatives such as Atmanirbhar (self-reliant) Bharat and the emphasis on Swadeshi saying these are transforming lives of tribal and border communities across Jammu & Kashmir.
He further said that Modi Government’s focus on inclusive development has created unprecedented opportunities for tribal youth. He noted that the initiatives in education, hostels, scholarships, and community infrastructure are transforming the socio-economic landscape of tribal areas .
“Our tribal children are the living pillars of Viksit Bharat 2047. The Modi government’s targeted welfare schemes and push for self-reliance are opening doors for education, skill development and livelihood for our tribes. We must encourage Swadeshi entrepreneurship at the grassroots so every tribal family becomes Atmanirbhar,” said Vibodh.
Vibodh reiterated that Pahari, Gujjar-Bakerwal and other tribal communities have a central role to play in the socio-economic transformation under the Viksit Bharat mission. Vibodh in his address also mentioned government schemes that support MSMEs, skill training and local industries urging tribal youth to adopt vocational skills and entrepreneurship.
By doing so, he said, young people from tribal areas can become self-reliant, create sustainable livelihoods within their own areas and contribute meaningfully to the overall economic growth and cultural preservation of India. DDC Member & Administrator Waqf Board, Qyoom Mir, while speaking on the occasion, said “Today, our tribal youth are more confident, aware and capable than ever before. The support extended through centrally sponsored schemes is ensuring that no child is left behind. We must collectively work to strengthen these efforts so that our young generation becomes active contributors to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.”
Pushpinder Gupta, Radish Sharma,Sanjay Sharma,Tarun Kumar,Yougesh Sharma also addressed the gathering and praised the government’s commitment to empowering marginalized communities. He said the rapid development in tribal areas, along with new opportunities in skill training, MSMEs and entrepreneurship, is enabling youth to shape their own futures.
