Jammu, May 28: Master Plan of Patnitop Development Authority was notified in the year 2000 & despite lapse of 25 years till today Building Bye Laws of Master Plan of 2000 are being allowed in new constructions causing stoppage of new developments except illegal constructions.
It is to mention here that as per J&K Development Act of 1970, it is mandatory to revise the Master Plan after every 05 years or prior to that as per needs but despite knowing the facts that only Patnitop is the best tourist place in Jammu being ignored by Govt by just holding revised Master Plan.
Otherwise it reversed so called words of developing tourist places in J&K as if Master Plans dont exist, how new legal development can take place except illegal one as are being mushroomed in the jurisdiction of Patnitop Development Authority, if enquired shall detect a proved scam?
Now, Tourism Department vide Govt order dated October, 2024 directed Chief Town Planner, to share the details for framing of Master Plans of Development Authoritys & on today 07 months have lapsed but revised Master Plan of Patnitop development Authority, which has been framed by a company by paying Lakhs is still hanging in fire for its final outcome needed to be acted upon?
