SRINAGAR,Oct 06: Opposition National Conference (NC) on Tuesday announced that it will boycott rest of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly session after Speaker Kavinder Gupta suspended two of its MLAs today. Talking to reporters former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that will boycott the rest of the Legislative Assembly session.
NC leader Omar Abdullah questioned why the PDP (Peoples Democratic Party) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) coalition government in J&K had approached the Supreme Court when the legislature is “free” to scrap the 1932 provision in the Ranbir Penal Code prohibiting cow slaughter.
