Zulfkar tightens nose on erring CAPD officials Department initiates inquiry into Kishtwar, Rajouri and Jammu areas complaints, suspends 10 including 2 TSOs

SRINAGAR, Oct 02- Following strict directions from Minister for Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution Department and Tribal Affairs Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali to maintain transparency and accountability, department has initiated action against erring officials by suspending 4 employees including 2 Tehsil Supply Officers and 6 Dealers of various areas of Jammu division.

Minister for Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution Department and Tribal Affairs Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali has issued strict directions to both Directors of Kashmir and Jammu to keep close vigil on the pilferages and distribution system of the department.

Taking strong note of the allegations of public from Kishtwar, Jammu and Rajouri areas, Minister has instructed Director CAPD Jammu GS Chib to initiate inquiry into the complaints and issue orders of suspension to the erring officials.

Acting upon the advice of Minister, the Department authorities has initiated inquiry into the complaints of black marketing of ration in Thakrai area of Kishtwar and have suspended TSO Kishtwar, Store Keeper of the area and Dealer of Thakrai namely Nek Ram S/o Chand Ram.

The Department has also initiated inquiry into the complaints of non distribution of ration in Hill Tak area of Darhal tehsil in Rajouri district and has attached TSO Darhal Abdul Khaliq to Directorate Office by giving additional charge of the area to TSO Thanamandi Manmohan Suri.

Acting upon the complaints of black marketing of Atta in Khour area of Jammu, Department has initiated inquiry and suspended Balbir Kumar Ration Dealer of Kotmaira and Satpal Sharma Ration Dealer of Khunda area.

Meanwhile on the direction of Minister, Director CAPD Jammu GS Chib had recently made surprise visits of Fair Price Shops of CAPD in Thanamandi area where he found the record of two Depots unsatisfactory and suspended the dealer. During his visit to Oil Depot Khablan, it was found that the record was not maintained and oil was not distributed following which Dealer Mohammad Fareed was suspended and inquiry was initiated. Director also visited Fair Price Shop Kote Thanamandi and found that the record of the Shop is not being maintained by the Dealer himself. Director issued suspension order of the dealer namely Mehmood Hussain and also ordered inquiry into the matter.
