JAMMU, Jan 31: Opposition Legislators from National Conference and Congress likely going to meet on Wednesday to figure out the strategy for cornering on PDP-BJP government on the issue of Speaker Kavinder Gupta expunging anti-national remark made by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti in the Legislative assembly on the demand of Kathua MLA Rajiv Jasrotia.
Mehbooba had said that those who would want to abrogate Article 370 are anti-nationals while replying to the grants of departments under her in the Legislative Assembly on Monday.
Speaker Kavinder Gupta, however said that he has not expunged the remarks and CM Mehbooba will herself give clarification on the issue.
Sources told Cross Town News that with CM Mehbooba made a statement that will not go good with core voters of BJP in Jammu region, it will be a tough time for PDP-BJP government in coming days.
Sources said that with UP elections and elections in other states are around the corner, the BJP may have faced the backlash of such remarks and to counter that the RSS background man and MLA Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia demanded expunging of remarks that showed up BJP as Anti National.
Interestingly none of the BJP Ministers made a statement on this while Mehbooba kept on delivering a statement which in all probability will not go good with the core voters.
