JAMMU, Jan 31: Minister for Finance Dr Haseeb A Drabu today moved four bills for introduction in the Legislative Assembly.
On behalf of the Minister for Social Welfare, Sajad Gani Lone, Dr Drabu introduced "A Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1998.”
Another three bills introduced by the Minister for Finance in the House included "A Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir General Sales Tax Act, 1962".
"A Bill to authorize payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of consolidated Fund of the Jammu and Kashmir State for the services of the financial year 2016-17".
"A Bill to provide for the withdrawal of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the Jammu and Kashmir State for the Services of the financial year 2017-18.
The House later passed two Bills introduced by Drabu with voice vote. .
Drabu aso laid a copy of the Jammu and Kashmir Value Added Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2016, as required in terms of clause (a) to Sub-Section 91 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir on the table of the House.
