Chandigarh, Jan 30: The Election Commission has said that exit polls are banned w.e.f. February 4 and March 8 in the poll bound states of India.
EC while citing provisions of section 126 A of the representation of the people Act, 1951, reporter said that exit polls cannot be conducted and publicised by means of print and electronic media or in any other manner starting from February 4, 2017 at 7 am to March 8, 2017 at 5.30 pm.(Input from agencies)
