JAMMU, Jan 19: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) , Jammu addressed the controversy surrounding the promotion of teachers to the position of Master for District Cadre Rajouri while dealing with an application filled by applicants through Advocate Amullaya Gupta.
The Directorate of School Education Department via order DSEJ/ NG/M/35694-35707dated 22/12/2023, had issued a list of eligible teachers for promotion as master based on a seniority list issue on 02/23/2023 for District Cadre, Rajouri. After hearing Amllaya Gupta, advocate for applicants, Hon'ble Sanjeev Gupta, Judicial Member, CAT, passed a crucial consideration order.
The order directed the School Education Department to consider the case strictly based on rules and merit. Furthermore, it also directed the respondents to hear applicants and complete the entire process within four weeks from the date of receipt of the certified order.
