Srinagar 9 January, 2024: Mohammad Aijaz Asad has taken over the charge of Administrative Secretary to the Government Planning, Development and Monitoring Department in light of Government order No. 37-JK(GAD) of 2024 Dated 04-01-2024. He has also assumed the charge of Administrative Secretary Civil Aviation Department and Commissioner Civil Aviation. Mr Aijaz Asad was recently transferred after serving for three years as Deputy Commissioner Srinagar.
Pertinent to mention that he has served as Deputy Commissioner of as many as six districts in Jammu and Kashmir.
Consequently, He brings rich field experience in the new allocated Planning Department. Members of civil society and prominent organisations of Srinagar have appreciated the good work done by him. Various associations have organised farewell meetings to bid goodbye to the outgoing Deputy Commissioner.
Mr Aijaz has also served as First ever Managing Director of Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation and he was hailed as Power-man of Kashmir when he had introduced Power Sector reforms in the year 2020 and ensured Power supply in Kashmir Valley during the snow spells and harsh winter.
