High COurt Put Rs 10,000 Cost & Failing To File Reply Seeks PA Of RTO

Srinagar, October 31: In WP( C ) No. 3847/2019 titled Iqbal Memorial Trust Vs Union Territory of J&K & Ors. after hearing HON’BLE MS. JUSTICE MOKSHA KHAJURIA KAZMI, JUDGE ORDERED as:-
On 12th July, 2022, respondents were directed to file objections within two weeks, subject to payment of costs to the tune of Rs. 1000/- to be deposited in the Lawyers Welfare fund. The direction was reiterated twice.
In terms of order dated 06.09.2022, six weeks further time was granted to the respondents for filing the reply/objections subject to payment of costs to the tune of Rs. 2000/- to be deposited in the Lawyers Welfare fund.
However, reply/objections are yet to be filed. Ms. Insha Rashid, GA, states that she has communicated the direction to the respondents time and again but no response has been received by her till date.
In the interest of justice, last and final opportunity of further four weeks is granted to the respondents for filing the reply/objections with an advance copy to other side, subject to payment of costs to the tune of Rs. 10,000/- to be deposited in the Lawyers Welfare fund, failing which respondent No.3/Regional Transport Officer, Kashmir, Srinagar shall appear in person along with record on next date of hearing.
