J&K Govt conducts week long crusade against GST Act Defaulters

Kathua, September 17: The State Taxes Enforcement team under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner, State taxes, Enforcement Kathua (HQ-lakhanpur) Ranjeet Singh under the supervision of Additional commissioner Adm. & Enforcememt Jammu Ms. Nitu Gupta JKAS and overall supervision of Ms. Rashmi Singh IAS , Commissioner State Taxes during weeklong crusade against defaulters of GST Act and rules imposed heavy penalty of Rs 14.30 lacs on vehicles carrying Goods into the Union Territory of J&K without proper documents.

The Enforcement team Constituted by D.C included State Taxes Officer, Enforcement Wing -Lakhanpur Sunil Dutt, K R Verma , Azhar Amin STO , Dr. Aashna , Sheetal choudhary , Farhat max choudhary , Sandeep Kour and other officials of the department.

DC State Taxes, Enforcement Wing Lakhanpur, Ranjeet Singh appealed the dealers to ensure generation of proper tax invoices and e-way bills.

He also said that State Taxes department shall continue inspections of vonveyances carrying goods towards J&K without proper tax invoice, e-way bills etc  to create deterrence and to ensure that the genuine traders who fulfill/comply with all  GST rules are not hit by such malpractices.
