BHOPAL, Sep 14: Ex Member J&K Sports Council and Editor Cross Town News Rahil Gupta , who is in Bhopal as part of Press Information Bureau ( PIB) Media Tour , during his visit to SAI Centre in Bhopal , appreciated State of Art facilities.
Rahil said that SAI Centre in Jammu is doing good but if similar facilities can be brought up at Jammu centre , Jammu and Kashmir will be able to produce large number of Athletes of National repute.
Rahil also interacted with Sportspersons at SAI Bhopal including Judo Player Vishal (Kathua) and Hockey Player Shoaib ( Poonch) from Jammu and Kashmir.
Both of them along with other Players were happy with facilities being provided.
Governing Body of SAI last year cleared laying of a new synthetic track at SAI Regional Centre Bhopal.
The regional centre caters to athletes from multiple disciplines and has produced several international-level performers, including two Olympians.
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) Coaching Centre of Excellence (CRC) in Bhopal organised a three-day National Sports Day celebration from August 28 to August 30, 2026, centred on the theme “Khelega Bharat, Jeetega Bharat”.
The event honoured Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary Indian hockey player, and aimed to inspire youth and the wider public to adopt sports and fitness.
