Congress asks JK Govt to regularize all 60000 daily rated, casual Labours


 

Srinagar, Jan 8: Stating that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is insensitive to the agony and anguish of the people, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir blamed Chief Minister for disgracing the House and people by preferring to lay foundation stone rather than debating and discussing damages caused to life and property due to valley unrest, in the House.

Addressing a day long convention of Party workers of DCC Anantnag at Khanabal Anantnag today, G.A. Mir termed the absence of Chief Minister from the House as unfortunate and condemnable.

In a statement issued to PTK, CM has no time to debate the losses caused to life and property in the valley due to unrest, the behavior of Chief Minister is irresponsible and insensitive towards the issues concerning people, Mir said.

Chief Minister should have remained in the house to discuss the damages caused and it’s fall out with the opposition, but she preferred to fly to Srinagar to avoid debate, which was not only surprising, but indicative of dual standards of PDP BJP Coalition Govt. The absence of Chief Minister has proved she (Mehbooba Mufti) is not serious or concerned about the well being of the people, Mir said.

He said it is evident from the day one PDP-BJP coalition were neither on the same page nor will they be ever with regard to Kashmir Situation, which shows how PDP has surrendered everything for the sake of power, besides compromising on the interest of the people. Mir also accused Chief Minister of taking directives from Nagpur headquarter of RSS.

He said mere shedding tears and releasing statements will not satisfy the people or serve any purpose, as the people need to have good governance as was promised to them by PDP BJP Coalition, in which their sentiments and emotions are respected, but the situation on the ground seems to be very different, for the fact Coalition Govt has even failed to perform its legitimate duties towards the people, he said.

Referring to the rising unemployment in all the three regions, G.A. Mir  blamed  Govt for deliberately  faltering the regularization of 60,000 daily rated and casual Labours working in different departments across the State, Govt is not regularizing these poor people on the pretext of adjusting new and blued eyed persons in order to gain political mileage out of regularization process. He asked the Govt to take immediate measures and regularize the Daily Rated and Casual Labours, on war footing basis, he added.

Addressing the convention, PCC Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat lashed out at Centre Govt especially Prime Minister Narender Modi for demonetisation and termed it as a ploy to hide the failure of the Centre Govt, which has failed to address the genuine concern of the people across. He said demonetisation is not going to serve any purpose, only it has helped the BJP to divert the attention of the people from its utter failure on all fronts.

Expressing concern over the fallout of demonetization Legislators Mohd Amin Bhat and Gulzar Ahmad Wani lashed out at Centre Govt for change of currency (demonetisation) without taking the Opposition Parties into confidence on this sensitive issue. They said BJP shall have to face the consequences of demonetisation, which has not only caused great inconvenience to people, but destabilized the Country’s economy also, which the BJP is trying to hide by attacking the opposition.

Those who addressed the convention included PCC Spokesperson Farooq Andrabi, General Secretary Hilal Ahmad Shah, Sr. Leader Manzoor Ahmad Ganai, Abdul Qayoom Shah, Shaheena Nadaf, Mohd Iqbal Mir, Ali Mohd Mantoo, Mushtaq Ahmad Khandey and other Senior Leaders of the District

Later District Congress Committee Anantnag led by MLA Gulzar Ahmad Wani and Manzoor Ahmad Ganai submitted a Memorandum to Prime Minister Shri. Narender Modi against corruption and demonetization, the Memorandum was handed over to Deputy Commissioner Anantnag.

Meanwhile, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Spokesperson has lashed out State Govt over down grading the Security Cover of Congress President Mr. G.A. Mir, aiming to restrict his political movements in the valley.

 

He also blamed the Security department over denying the adequate Security to Congress President as per his entitlement and warned that in case of any untoward incident, Govt will be fully responsible.
