RAJOURI, JUNE 23: District Election Officer Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today discussed rationalization of polling stations and special summary revision of photo electoral rolls.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion on a number of points including proposal for creation of new polling stations, rationalization of polling stations etc was held.
The Dy DEO, Parveen Akhter informed the meeting that there are 22 cases for creation of new polling stations while there are 09 cases for change of location of polling stations.
After a threadbare discussion with the concerned officers and representatives of the political parties, the DDC approved all the cases regarding the creation of new polling stations and change of location of polling stations.
The District Election Officer also stressed on ensuring ramp, water supply, power and washroom facilities in all the polling stations so that the voters don't face any inconveniences.
The meeting was attended by ADC Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Samyal; ADC ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; ADC Koteranka, Surinder Mohan Sharma; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; SDM Thanamandi, Vikas Dhar; Dy DEO, Parveen Akhter; Tehsildars of the District and representatives of different political parties.
