NEW DELHI, Nov 26: Chief Justice of India TS Thakur lambasted the Centre over the huge vacancies in the higher judiciary.
Justice Thakur said, "Today 500 judges' posts are vacant in high courts. Today we have vacant court room but no judges."
The Supreme Court earlier hit out at the Modi government for sitting over appointment of judges in various high courts despite the collegium clearing the names.
