Congress Hits Out At J&K BJP For Maintaining A Silence On Statement Of Mehbooba Mufti On " 2nd Chance To Burhan Wani"

JAMMU, July 29:  JKPCC today held a Press Conference at PCC HQ  Shaheedi Chowk Jammu. While addressing the Press the General Secretaries of JKPCC S. Manjit Singh, Shri Vikram Malhotra, Th. Manmohan Singh and Smt. Namrata Sharma came down heavily on the BJP and asked the Dy Chief Minister to explain the stand of his party on the dangerous statements of the Chief Minister Ms. Mehboba Mufti.

The  Chief Minister had yesterday in an interaction with local media persons in Kashmir had said that “ had the security forces known that Bhuran Wani was the part of the militant group hold up in Anantnag, he would have been allowed another chance”. The leaders asked the BJP to explain if they agreed with the Chief Minister when she  said that the sacrifice of the boys will not go to waste.

The people of Jammu had voted for BJP in  large number and it is the duty of the Dy C.M. and other ministers of Cabinet to explain their position before the people of the State.

The leaders criticized the BJP for maintaining stoic silence on this issue.They further said that the present security scenario in the Stated is a matter of concern and especially when there is lack of coherence between the government and the security forces.

Congress party strongly believes that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and all efforts should be made for the peaceful resolution of the awent situation without compromising the security and integrity of the state.
