Hindustan Construction Company Wins Rs 1,750 Crore Contract From IRCON

 

 

Mumbai, July 26: Mumbai-ased construction company HCC has won an order worth Rs 1,750 crore from IRCON International to construct two tunnels and a bridge in Jammu and Kashmir, the company said in a statement Tuesday. 
IRCON International, which is an autonomous constructing agency for the Indian Railways, is constructing the Baramulla to Dharam section of the Udhampur - Srinagar - Baramulla rail link. 
Under this plan, the order given to HCC would entail construction of two main tunnels totaling 12.8 km along with parallel safety tunnels, a 200 m bridge adjoining these two tunnels and a station yard at Basindadhar. The order would be executed in 30 month. (Agencies)
