
SRINAGAR, July 20: : Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) today elected State Sports Minister Imran Ansari as its president.
Ansari, who ended National Conference president Farooq Abdullah’s three-decade tenure last year, was elected as the president of the JKCA at the elections held today.
Ansari said it was for the first time elections to the JKCA were held in time.
“At the time of taking over as president of the cricket association last year, we had promised to hold elections within a period of one year and we have done that today,” the minister told reporters. (Agencies)
