JAMMU, July 06: Rahil Gupta , Vice Chairman J&K Sports Council Udhampur & Member J&K Transport Advisory Committee has welcomed MOS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy & Space, Jitendra Singh's decision to allocate Rs.10 Crores for the up gradation of Udhampur stadium.
Rahil Gupta in a press statement said,"It is very heartening to see that Jitendra Singh during his short stint as Sports Minister took keen interest for promotion of sports infrastructure in J&K. It was only last month that he allocated Rs.42 Crores for the up gradation of MA stadium Jammu.
Rahil said “ This package of Rs 10 crores will help in making Udhampur a world class stadium. Already Indoor stadium is coming up in Udhampur. There were few issues in Indoor stadium , which I have discussed personally with Secretary Sports Council and he has assured that the issues will be resolved at the earliest.”
Rahil said “ Dr Jatindra Singh’s decision of allocation of Rs 10 crores for Udhampur stadium would give a helping hand to promotion of sports across the district. CM Mehbooba Mufti and Sports Minister Imran Ansari are already working with high intensity to develop World Class sports infrastructure in the state.”
