SRINAGAR, June 24: Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, Chaudhary Lal Singh today said that Government has notified the “Jammu and Kashmir Non-Forest land khair trees ‘Acacia catechu’ (Management Plan) Rules 2016” in the State.
The Minister further said that the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir in writ petition titled M/S JK Kahtha through Kuldeep Dubey and others V/s State of Jammu and Kashmir and others has passed are interim order which says that meanwhile, subject to the objection from other side and till next date before the bench, SRO-111 dated 31 March, 2016 to the extent of Rule 8 Sub Rule 2 and Sub Rule 4 providing for sale of Khairwood to anybody for utilization outside the State and provisions for its transportation shall remain stayed.
The Minister said that the case is being followed in the Court for legal conclusion.
