SRINAGAR, June 16: Appealing people to vote and support Congress Party, Congress today organized a grand road show which passed through Cipan Chee, Anjola, Nazigund Dabran, Checherpora Chek, Hardoo, Sichan Pethbug Dialgam in Anantnag Assembly constituency and accused PDP of repeating 2014 deceitful poll planks in which it had secured votes to keep communal forces out of power.
Leading the road show JKPCC Chief G.A. Mir cautioned the people about the political drama being staged by PDP to garner support especially in the Election times. He said it is the PDP which has betrayed the people on the pretext of defeating communal forces and keeping BJP out of Power,
Stating that people have not forgotten how PDP back stabbed them in 2014 Elections, PCC Chief said that it came as a big surprise to people when PDP joined RSS and BJP for the sake of coming into power and he felt confident that it ( PDP) shall pay a heavy price for the betrayal.
PCC Chief urged upon the people of Anantnag to vote and support Congress Candidate Hilal Ahmad Shah and ensure his victory with an overwhelming majority, for the fact, it is the Congress Party alone, which has served them ( People) best while having never compromised on its principles for anything. He said Congress is committed to the cause of serving people and shall remain steadfast in serving the people.
Accusing PDP BJP Coalition for failing to address the issues concerning people, PCC Chief said that the promises made with the people in respect of employment, overall development etc have fallen flat and have proved to be mere Election slogans.
Urging the people to exercise their franchise without any fear, PCC Chief said that people must cast their vote without any fear, as that will only defeat the bogus voting.
Addressing the gathering Former PCC President Peerzada Mohd Syed castigated Coalition Govt for failing to respect urges and aspiration of the people. This is unfortunate that PDP is playing with the sentiments of the people for gaining political mileage, he said
Speaking on the occasion Former Minister and Senior Leader Taj Mohi U Din accused the Coalition Govt for not being serious about the employment to educated unemployed youth as a result the considerable rise in unemployment has infused a sense of insecurity among the youth.
He reminded the people about the promises made with them by the PDP during 2014 Elections and urged them to defeat the PDP for its utter failure on all fronts.
Speaking on the occasion PYC President Pranav Shagotra said supporting Congress Party amounts to strengthening people and urged upon the people to vote for Congress Candidate Hilal Ahmad Shah for their better future.
Shameema Raina and other party functionaries also appealed the people to vote for Congress Candidate Hilal Ahmad Shah.
