Jammu And Kashmir Police To Get Drones, CCTV Cameras

Jammu, Jan 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Police is all set to get more than one hundred UAVs and more CCTV cameras worth Rs 116 crores for enhanced surveillance system for dealing in law and order as well as anti-militancy operations as the process for procurement of the same is nearing completion in next few days. 

The entire exercise for enhancing surveillance system is part of Police modernization programme for which Rs 5000 crores have been sanctioned under Prime Minister Development Package.

Under the PMDP, the J&K Police has also invited e-tenders for the purchase of five Bullet Resistant Ambulances for evacuation of border firing victims.
